All of the examples in the following text assume that the address of your mail server's website is http://www.listsite.com
You'll need to replace that with the actual address of the host.

Email Account FAQ

How do I create an Email Account?

Contact your system administrator. Or See the admin FAQ, if you are the system administrator.

What's the email address of my account

If your email account is 'fred', and the mail server is 'listsite.com', then your email address is 'fred@listsite.com'.

How do I retrieve my email?

You can read it using any normal mail program (POP3), or via the web.

• Via the Web:
  First you have to log in.

  Once you have logged in, you will see a list of your messages, or a note saying that you don't currently have any messages.

• Via an email program
  Set the POP3 host following the instructions in your email program documentation. If your email address is fred@listsite.com, then the username would be fred, and the POP3 server would be listsite.com

How do I change my password

First you have to log in.

Once you have logged in, notice that there is a link 'HELP' in the menu at the top of the page. That will explain how to use your account, including how to change your password.

How do I 'log in'?

• Go to the website for your server (e.g. http://www.listsite.com)
• Click on 'LOG IN' in the menu at the top of the page.
• Enter the name of your account (e.g. fred) into the text box, and press enter.
• You will be prompted for again for the account name and for a password.
  The password should have been given you when the list was created. If you don't have it, contact your server's administrator.
• You should now see the information page for your list.

Can I set up my email account on Ichabod to send 'vacation' notices.
